Google is slowly but surely changing returning results. A major change came in the form of google maps that helps “split the bounty” among a bigger number of businesses (or so it should). The goal as google put it is to get the best results the would suit our search query – but how can they do that?

Talking for hours about google algorithm and its ingenious development must be interesting but that would not happen today since i want to talk to you about google +1 and its relation to our search results. And so.. other then algorithm changes what can google do to improve the search results? use us of course!

Starting with panda update and going forward with Google +1 the trend is to rely on what we like. That is without a doubt the smart way to go about cleaning the search results… how many time have we wanted to “UNLIKE” a specific website so it won’t appear in our search results

Idea for google:
i know its hard just dropping a website completely but how about hiding it for us for 30 days.. ? if we repeat the hide do it for 90 days and third time would give that website the boot (per user)…

Google +1 is in fact affecting our search results in a major way since it influences what we see and how we see it and also affect what our friends see.. so? how can we as Web – Marketing experts in a tough world should behave?

1. Get the client involved.. ask him to ask hes client to “show the love”

i know it might sound a hard thing to do but a single reference by the business owner when talking to a client on the phone can lead to hundreds of +1′s and believe it or not must people won’t care if you ask them with an Embarrassed giggle.

2. Enable the Google +1 at your website

i don’t understand people who fail to integrate google +1 in their websites… just do it! Its easy and might affect the amount of exposure you would receive online (that might be worth some money for must of you). 3. Google +1 button – Make it Noticeable

I See a lot of websites that do embed google +1 button but in the wrong place and size. Why not make it visible? its a cool button… You can do it using a nice way to display the button with even a small enticing text like.. “Loved this article? Share the love [here would be the button]

Google + 1 Button Conclusions

I love the google +1 button, its a smart way to screen out sites we don’t like (eventually). I recommend embedding it your website starting (today!). Make it visible and try to get people to click it by using a slogan near it or by directly talking to people.
